San Luis Obispo County Integrated Waste Management Authority Invites Interested Contractors

Notice: 2026 CUPCCAA Informal Bid List

The Board of Directors of the San Luis Obispo County Integrated Waste Management Authority (SLOIWMA) adopted Ordinance No. 2026-01, implementing the CUPCCAA informal bidding procedures, and now invites all interested licensed contractors to submit their company for inclusion on the Informal Bidding Contractors List for all trades for the balance of calendar year 2026, pursuant to Public Contract Codes 22032 and 22034 – CUPCCAA.

By utilizing CUPCCAA, public works projects valued at less than $220,000 may be let to informal bidding, in accordance with the informal bidding procedures of the Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act. When a project is to be awarded via informal bidding, contractors that have registered on the informal bidders list will be notified with a general project description, the location of where to obtain more detailed information, and the time and place of bid submission.

Procedures for Establishment & Maintenance of a List of Qualified Contractors:

During November of each year, SLOIWMA will email a written notice to the San Luis Obispo County Builders Exchange, contractors previously on the list, and post on the Agency’s website, inviting all licensed contractors to register for the following calendar year.

Contractors can register their business using the form below to be included on the Agency’s pre-qualified list. By filling out the form below, you are registering to receive Request for Proposal (RFP) notifications for informal bid public projects under the CUPCCAA guidelines. You will be notified when bids are requested to complete projects up to $220,000 related to the specific trades you select below.

*Please note that for formally bid public projects, SLOIWMA will post RFPs on the Agency’s Website at iwma.com, newspapers, and/or local trade journals, and may not use this notification list.
